1st ROTATING Shift
Well established concrete masonry company located in north Denver is looking for (2) Temp to Hire candidates for a General Laborer position to start immediately.
Shift: 1st ROTATING Shift | Monday Friday | 6: 00 am 4: 30 pm
****NOTE: position rotates shift every 2 months. MUST be flexible to work shift 1 (4pm 2: 30am). Next rotation will take place 2 months November 2016, January 2017, March 2017, May 2017, July, Sept, Nov. And so on...Pay will be adjusted according to shift working.
Pay: $12.00/hr. When on 2nd shift $12.70
Duration: Temp to Hire
Job Duties (will be provided training in these areas):
Learn and know names of blocks
Able to read measuring device (tape measure)
Knowledge of how to start, stop and operation of cuber, splitter and depalleter machines
Will be trained on block cutter and all equipment and proper process.
Will either be working in grinding room - moving blocks from pallets onto conveyor, blocks will go thru machine to grind block, then take blocks off conveyor and back onto pallet and stack properly.
Could work in Tumbler room - blocks coming out of machine, responsible for identifying and defects, organizing blocks on conveyor and moving blocks down conveyor to pallets.
Could work in Wet Casting room - responsible for properly preparing block molds with casting material.
Must learn all safe practices and lock Out Tag Out for machine.
Must recognize good and bad quality of block.
Must be able to left and stack all types of block and pallets (up to 100lbs).
Able to learn and know all cubing patterns.
MUST be able to clean Mixers as needed (NOTE: this job is on rotation with all staff - it is a DIRTY JOB- staff are required to go inside Mixer and clean/scrape material inside mixer. It is an enclosed Mixing machine...Big enough for staff to stand up in) Associates are trained with another individual to learn and feel comfortable with this job.
1/2 hour lunches and 2-10min breaks (must stay on property for 10 minute breaks). Highly recommend to bring lunch. Not many locations to go eat. Non-smoking facility. Smoking areas are outside of fenced area on property. No scheduled break/lunch times...Work with shift supervisor and lunch/breaks will be given on a rotation basis.
Physically demanding job. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
Frequently required to use hands, fingers to feel.
Reach with hands and arms.
Stand, walk and sit. Occasionally required to bend at waist.
Communicate effectively with peers and management.
Must be comfortable working in a Spanish speaking environment - bilingual is a plus.
Regular attendance is required.
Be comfortable working inside and outside facility (hot and cold weather).
Noisy, dirty and dusty environment. Dust masks and Ear plugs provided by company.
No Cellphone use while on the job.
