Conveyer Belt Technician
Job Description
Belt Tech Hours – Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. with possible OT Pay: 20-25 an hour depending on experience QualificationsWilling to learn a new trade and start a new career where your professional advancement is in your own hands.Willingness to travel and work in different environments.Mechanical aptitude.Basic math skills along with the ability to use and read a tape measure.Able to work in tight spaces or at heights for an extended period of time.Willing to work long hours. ResponsibilitiesAs a Belt Technician, you will perform a variety of duties within the shop, in the field, and at customer locations centered on installing, repairing, and replacing conveyor belts and basic maintenance.Perform shop work with duties, including loading and unloading equipment for field service work, in house fabrication of specialty conveyor belt and components.Learn basic rigging.Perform other duties as assigned. Job description You will perform a variety of duties within the shop, in the field, and at customer locations centered on installing, repairing, and replacing conveyor belts. Requirements:Valid driver’s licenseLegally authorized to work in the United States.Mechanical aptitudeHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to lift 50 plus pounds frequently.Able to work in tight spaces or at heights for an extended period of time.Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and have a clean driving record.Ability to travel 50% of the time as well as to work a variety of schedules including overtime, on-call, nightshift, weekends, and holidays.
