GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The front desk clerk s job is to provide the first-tier services to customers coming in to a front store. A personable and pleasant individual constantly providing optimal customer service to clients and sales representative.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
Responsible for assisting and receiving orders from walk-in customers
Checking web connecter and print sales representative s orders to warehouse and create invoices for the next day orders for Delivery.
Receives email and fax orders, and create sales orders
Close daily shift
Answers incoming customer calls regarding billing issues, product problems, service questions and general client concerns
Applying for credit card payment over the phone and entering transaction into QuickBooks
Responsible for filling up retail area candies and medicine
Updates walk-in customer s contact information and sales tax ID
Assist customer to load items onto vehicle or inform co-workers to help
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
Keeping front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material
Keeping showroom area clean including glass display
Reports any shortages, missing items, or damaged items to warehouse supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education: High school, degree or equivalent.
Experience: Three to four years of experience with wholesales and retails on sales and customer service.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bilingual- English/Spanish; writing and reading proficiency in both languages, organizational and detail-oriented skills. Knowledge of QuickBooks software. Able to take initiative and make innovative changes to improve the accounting an operational system. Demonstrate excellent hospitality and customer service skills. Anticipate customers needs and work to fulfill it immediately. Good personal appearance and friendly nature. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly skilled in greeting customers and ensuring correct sales orders. Hands on experience in handling telephone calls/emails, and routing them appropriately. Need to be able to lift five to ten pounds and to climb stairs.
