This opportunity is responsible for producing complete specialized packaging projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards & procedures. Coordinates workload schedule to meet customer time frame requirements while achieving optimum productivity.
Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output. Works closely with other team members to exceed customer expectations.
As the Digital Press Operator and a member of the Production Team, you are accountable for meeting the department Safety, Quality and Productivity goals, as well as in meeting company-wide profitability & customer satisfaction goals.

Because you will be in contact with current and prospective customers, and you are in a strong position to influence their satisfaction and our company prosperity, this position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism.
Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
Participate as a key player in the Production Team by supporting operations as
Communicate effectively with the Management Group, Design, Customer Service Team and Production Teams, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that both sales and customer objectives are met.
Digital Press Operations
Operate the digital presses in accordance with equipment operating procedures.
Interface with the Customer Service, Designers, Sales and/or the customer to ensure a complete understanding of the digital print order. Receive and output digital files for use in completion of work order.
Operate digital presses to produce complete customized jobs.
Perform all digital press operator functions as noted on the work order.
Prepare proof copy of completed document and obtain Customer Service Representative, Designer, Sales and/or customer approval as needed.
Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment.
Assist with press feeding and takeoff, as needed.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting customer files for production.
Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures.
Understand & perform all troubleshooting procedures on the digital press.
Monitor and manage inventory of all supplies (inks sets, primer, UV lamps, print
heads, etc.). Order and stock adequate supplies as required ensuring production
needs are always met.
Inform supervisor of equipment problems and place service calls when needed.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8: 00 a.M. To 5: 00 p.M., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be necessary from time-to-time.
Travel is limited to primarily training and (possibly) customer visits, which may include travel abroad for brief periods of time. Passport is a necessity. You will be required to travel to Barcelona for a week upon hire to train on the machine.
Required Education and Experience
High school or GED equivalent.
Familiarity with handling digital files; able to create postscript files.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good mathematical and measurement skills.
Exceptional eye for detail.
Willingness and excitement to be part of a creative team!
Proficiency in Word, Excel. Adobe Suite of products. A Plus: HRMS and/or CTI and/or RIP
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design or Print Production.
Background in digital printing a plus but not required.
