Performs detailed design activities based on proposal drawings and working models.
Adds details to working models and drawings that are organized and structured to support the needs of Manufacturing and Procurement.
Responsible for design model details working within the established structure (properties) and programming already in the model. Ensures details and properties within the model are correct and organized to support quality drawings and procurement of materials and components.
Uses and assists in the maintenance of the standardization of modeling tool boxes, ensuring the engineering team is working on the same platform with the same set of design tools.
Uses and assists to control and organize standard part models, drawings, and directories.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Performs, as directed, safety compliance and uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as needed, and maintains a safe working environment.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures on a routine basis. Consistently reports to work as scheduled and on time, avoiding unnecessary and unscheduled absences.
Responds promptly, sincerely, and respectfully to customers and coworkers needs, requests and concerns via all communication forms using easily understood language.
Maintains positive working relationships as a team player through problem solving issues, speaking positively about others, and listening attentively.
Identifies, evaluates, recommends and/or implements process improvement opportunities that include the objective(s) of reducing costs, increasing efficiencies and/or increasing productivity. Eliminates and avoids unnecessary processes and procedures that impede these objectives on a company-wide basis.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years in a Mechanical Design Engineer role.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and Paint. Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM
Understanding of ANSI 14.5 Design and Drafting Standards is required.
Ability read/interpret blue prints; knowledge of general engineering principals, AutoCAD and fabrication experience with Sheetmetal is preferred.
Able to read, write, and clearly speak and understand English.
