Salary: Starting at $20/hr
Location: Westminster, CO
Work Type: Direct Hire, Onsite, 2 PM - 10:30 PM (Monday to Friday).
Position Overview
 We are seeking a Lead Production - 2nd Shift to guide and support Operators in process setup, operations, and quality assurance. This role involves ensuring a smooth workflow in production areas, training staff, and maintaining high-quality standards while meeting production goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Training: Provide daily guidance and instruction to Operators and team members in production processes, quality standards, and documentation practices.
  • Work Allocation: Assign tasks and workstations to Operators to achieve daily production targets effectively.
  • Process Compliance: Ensure that all Operators adhere to job book instructions and are well-trained in product inspection techniques.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication across shifts to address issues, prioritize tasks, and conduct handover meetings.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify that all job approvals are secured, and conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Process Improvement: Monitor production processes, identify problems, and recommend enhancements to boost productivity and quality.
  • Organization: Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment following 5S principles.
  • Reporting: Identify and report equipment malfunctions, documentation discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Material Management: Ensure the availability and quality of materials and packaging throughout production phases.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring proper tracking of inventory.
  • Flexibility: Provide coverage for Operators during breaks and perform other related duties as assigned.
Background of Candidate:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in plastic injection molding, assembly, or machine operation preferred.
  • Strong ability to mentor and train new and existing employees.
  • Consistently produce high-quality products that meet specifications.
  • Knowledge of the production process and efficient component flow.
  • Proficient in using computers and completing paperwork accurately.
  • Skilled in operating tools and machinery with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated initiative and dependability, with a strong attendance record.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands and fingers.
  • May need to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
