ASSEMBLER 
Location: Lafayette, COType: Temp-to-HirePay: $22-$24/HR
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Assembler collaborates closely with the Assembly Lead and Manufacturing Supervisor to prepare and complete equipment assembly. This role involves performing a range of standard and advanced assembly duties aligned with product specifications and quality standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Complete the final assembly of products accurately and within deadlines by installing components and hardware according to blueprints, schematics, and established procedures, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
  2. Ensure that all assembly equipment is regularly maintained and operational.
  3. Report any problems or challenges encountered during the assembly process, including issues with equipment or personnel, directly to the Assembly Lead.
  4. Under guidance, communicate and coordinate with the Assembly Lead on necessary corrective actions to address assembly obstacles, aiming to meet project goals efficiently and cost-effectively.
  5. Carry out additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve diverse issues effectively.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Basic math proficiency, including working with fractions.
  • Skilled in measuring accurately using a tape measure.
  • Must provide personal basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and conduit installation is essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as under supervision.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English clearly.
EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCEAt least one year of recent relevant assembly or manufacturing experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position is based in a manufacturing or fabrication shop setting. Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and manual dexterity with arms, hands, legs, and feet. Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 75 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 500 lbs with equipment are expected. Work may involve elevated areas and exposure to hazardous materials including chemicals and electrical/mechanical risks, as well as extreme temperatures. Equipment used includes hoists, forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, and various machinery. Communication skills include seeing, talking, listening, and occasional paperwork tasks. Work hours may include overtime or alternate shifts, with potential travel to other locations in varying weather conditions.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSEmployees may be exposed to noise, machinery, welders, electrical tools, fumes, chemicals, dust, and temperature extremes. PPE, including steel-toed footwear, is mandatory and provided to all shop-floor staff.
