Now Hiring: Counter Sales Associate
Pay: $21–$22/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
About the Company: Our client is a busy distribution warehouse specializing in small parts and components—ranging from screws to conductors and everything in between. They are known for their high-quality service and deep product inventory. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Counter Sales Associate who can provide hands-on support to customers and help them find the right solutions for their needs.
Position Overview: This is a hands-on role that will begin in the warehouse and eventually transition into a full-time front counter position. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Phase:
· Start in packaging: box orders, create labels, and support general shipping needs.
· Move into order picking to become familiar with product types and warehouse layout.
· Begin assisting with will-call orders and start interacting with walk-in customers.
Counter Sales Role (Post-Training):
· Greet and assist walk-in customers at the front counter.
· Understand customer needs—often with minimal information—and recommend the right parts or components to solve their issue.
· Accurately pull and process orders from warehouse inventory.
· Provide knowledgeable support and offer additional product suggestions where appropriate.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly workspace.
What We're Looking For:
· Must be mechanically capable of looking at a problem and figuring out a solution quickly
· Must be able to multitask and deal well under pressure with phones ringing and a line of people out the door.
· Strong problem-solving skills: customers often bring in mismatched or unfamiliar parts needing a solution.
· High attention to detail: accuracy is critical when working with a wide range of small parts—no scanners are used.
· Excellent customer service skills: professional, patient, and personable.
· Solid math and computer abilities.
· Physical stamina: must be comfortable being on your feet and walking throughout the day (10,000+ steps daily).
