Field Service Technician – Medical Waste Collection
Hours: 4:00/5:00 AM – until finished 40 HRS per week
Location: Parker / Littleton / Highlands Ranch
Pay: $24/hour
Job Description:We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team in providing essential medical waste collection and management services at local hospitals. This role involves working directly on-site, providing exceptional service while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for collecting, emptying, and replacing medical waste bins and sharps containers throughout the hospital, including surgical areas and patient rooms. Additionally, you will handle document collection for shredding once a week.This is a physically demanding position, requiring someone who is comfortable walking long distances, pushing carts filled with waste, and working in patient-facing environments. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are crucial to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Waste Collection: Push a cart throughout the hospital to collect, empty, and replace medical waste bins and sharps containers in designated areas, including surgical rooms and patient rooms.
- Document Shredding: Collect documents for shredding once a week as part of regular duties.
- Hospital Coverage: Provide waste management services across the entire hospital, ensuring all medical waste is handled according to strict safety and environmental guidelines.
- Multi-Hospital Coverage: Depending on the size of the hospital network, you may be required to travel between multiple locations within the same area. Travel time and mileage will be compensated.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times when interacting with hospital staff and patients. This includes ensuring that all interactions are courteous, respectful, and in line with the hospital’s standards of care.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and hospital guidelines, including personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and infection control procedures.
- Physical Labor: Must be comfortable with extensive walking (over 30,000 steps per day) and pushing heavy carts filled with medical waste.
- Hospital experience in environmental services or CNA work
- Covid-19 vaccination required.
- TB skin test and Hep C immunization shots required.
- 5-panel UA drug test.

- valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be physically fit to perform the demands of the job (walking long distances and pushing carts).
- Must be comfortable working in hospital settings, including surgical and patient areas.
- Ability to interact professionally with hospital staff and patients; excellent customer-facing skills required.
- Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to follow specific safety and operational protocols.
- Scrubs or professional attire must be worn at all times.
