Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Logistics Lead to oversee logistics operations and maintenance in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This leadership role combines team supervision, technical troubleshooting (mechanical/electrical systems), forklift operations, and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily logistics and maintenance operations; supervise team performance.
Operate and oversee forklift use, inventory movement, and box building.
Diagnose and repair facility systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and automated machinery.
Manage preventive maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
Train, mentor, and evaluate junior technicians.
Coordinate with other departments and monitor vendor/contractor work.
Track performance metrics and maintain compliance documentation.
Ensure safety practices meet OSHA and company standards.
Background:
Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
5+ years in logistics/maintenance (2+ years in leadership)
Forklift certification and warehouse experience
Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
Familiarity with CMMS, SAP/Oracle/WMS, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and respond to urgent issues
Preferred:
Certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma)
Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or international logistics
Experience with RFID, barcode scanning, and basic data analysis
