What You’ll Do
As a Specification Sales Representative, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the architectural design community, driving brand awareness and product specification across your territory. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, and electrical engineers, ensuring our solutions are at the forefront of their projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build brand recognition and promote products to the specification community through sales calls, presentations, and industry events.
- Deliver impactful product demonstrations and educational sessions to design firms and end users.
- Partner with independent sales representatives to grow territory market share.
- Manage relationships with up to 400 design firms and end users annually.
- Meet/exceed sales objectives while staying within approved travel and entertainment budgets.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in architectural lighting or related sales/marketing.
- Strong product knowledge, presentation, and solution-selling skills.
- Familiarity with lighting industry channels and market trends.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, professional, and capable of thriving in a remote work environment.
- Positive, collaborative team player with a growth mindset.
Role Details
- Work Environment: This is a remote, territory-based role requiring frequent customer visits, trade shows, and events.
- Travel: 50%+ within assigned territory.
- Vehicle Use: Personal vehicle required; car allowance and cell phone coverage provided.
- Physical: Ability to lift/carry product sample cases up to 50 lbs.
- Hours: Full-time, primarily standard business hours. Flexibility required for travel, trade shows, and client events.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $68,640 – $84,070 annually (with growth potential up to $99,500).
