Job Title: Production Worker – Medical Waste Treatment Facility Hours: Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM Pay: $23/hour Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team at a medical waste treatment facility. This role is essential to the safe and efficient handling, processing, and decontamination of medical waste. As a Production Worker, you will play a critical part in the safe unloading, transport, and treatment of medical waste materials. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards while working in a challenging environment. Key Responsibilities:
Unloading & Transport: Safely unload containers of waste from incoming trucks and transport them onto a conveyor belt for further processing.
Handling Waste: Assist in moving containers and bins of bagged medical waste to the appropriate areas within the facility.
Decontamination: Help dump waste bins into hoppers for treatment and assist in offloading and cleaning hoppers after the decontamination process.
Container & Vehicle Cleaning: Assist in the decontamination of containers and vehicles used for transporting medical waste.
Facility Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all areas are sanitized and free from hazards.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and ensure the safety of yourself and your team.
Requirements:
Must pass a UA drug test.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar environment (medical waste handling, hazardous materials, or industrial work preferred).
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Comfort and willingness to work around medical waste and potentially unsavory conditions.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow strict safety protocols.
