Job DescriptionTITLE: Maintenance Technician
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Longmont, Colorado
PAY RATE: $27/hourPOSITION SUMMARYThe role is responsible for executing work activities to maintain and troubleshoot production equipment and associated components.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute the preventative maintenance schedule for all internal equipment, on time and effectively, without prompting.
  • Troubleshoot various internal equipment to ensure the Operations group achieves revenue goals (i.e., reduce unplanned downtime).
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on internal equipment status to ensure proper awareness throughout Operations and request additional support if necessary to achieve targets and deadlines.
  • Work effectively with other Technicians or independently, if necessary, to support overall business needs.
  • Apply extensive hands-on experience and knowledge base to develop alternative solutions to difficult equipment problems.
OTHER
  • Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities to establish new standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and update machines, tools, and supplies as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
  • Equipment defect monitoring and control.
  • On-time, in-full execution of planned maintenance activities.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience working from specifications, drawings, manuals, sketches, and/or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and clearly communicate resolutions to issues in designs, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ability to review, edit, and write routine procedures while working alongside engineering with a high level of technical professionalism.
  • Strong sense of time management, organization, prioritization, and urgency.
  • Self-starter; ability to remain productive during downtime.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Lean certification or experience is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in ME, EE, or IE preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting required.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring schematics required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to operate machinery and power tools.
