Position Title: 2nd Shift Trailer Inspection
Schedule:
Swing-Shift Tuesday-Saturday 3pm-11pm
Location: Golden, CO
Position Overview:
The Transportation Center Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the incoming and outgoing traffic of all commercial vehicles to ensure the facility remains secure. This role involves maintaining the Welcome Center attendant log, performing vehicle inspections, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Coordinator will also manage communication with management and interact professionally with drivers and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Traffic Monitoring:
- Oversee the movement of all vendor vehicles within the facility to maintain security and operational efficiency.
- Log Management:
- Maintain accurate records in the Welcome Center attendant log, documenting the arrivals and departures of all vehicles.
- Vehicle Inspections:
- Inspect all inbound and outbound vehicle seals to ensure compliance with security protocols and procedural standards.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues or concerns related to the Welcome Center operations.
- Customer Interaction:
- Interact with drivers and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
- SOP Adherence:
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the check-in and check-out process of freight to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the efficient operation of the Welcome Center.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training preferred.
- Previous experience in trucking, security, logistics, or customer service roles is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and tact.
- Proficiency in using computers to perform basic data entry
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (position will be outside)
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in a guard tower and in a yard
- May require flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
