Welder
Location: Aurora, CO
Hours: 7a-5p M-F built in 10 hours of overtime
Pay: $23-28/HR, overtime pay, and commission program earning up to $1000/month
Type: Temporary to Hire
Job Overview:
- Responsible for performing welding shop and warehouse operations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Duties in weld shop will consist of: handling, prepping, fitting, welding, straightening and painting parts
- Duties in warehouse will consist of: shipping/receiving, inventory control, accurately pulling orders, loading customer vehicles and basic customer communication
- Work safely with shop foreman, welders/fabricators, production engineers, and warehouse personnel
- Gain knowledge and become efficient in operating, maintenance, basic troubleshooting and repair of the TC machines and other equipment in the weld shop
- Read TC order recommendation reports and prints, use inventory management system, and basic data logging into computer
- Follow welding procedures for plate, cast steel parts and assembly
- Paint label and restock completed parts accurately and in a timely manner
- Safely operate forklifts, presses, ovens and grinders
- Wear all PPE; steel toe boots, protective glasses/hood, gloves and earplugs
Experience:
- Techniques: cutting, gas torch, plasma cutter (handheld, track and cutting table) arc gouging,
- Welding: Mig, Stick and stud. Out of position welding, standing, stooping and bending
- Curiosity to troubleshoot, disassemble and reassemble
- Good communication skills- in person and written
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in tight aisles
- Ability to lift 50-75lbs
- Valid Driver’s license and MVR
